Haveringland Hall Country Park is a mixed park consisting of 50 residential-occupied mobile homes and 75 holiday lodges. A large part of these are privately owned and used as a second home. For 2024 we have 2 brand new Omar Highland Woodbury holiday homes to be let out for holidays, one 4 bedroom (sleeps 8) and one 2 bedroom (sleeps 4) ideal for families.
Haveringland Hall Country Park is a pet-friendly peaceful countryside retreat where you can easily forget about the outside world. We have 12acres of fishing lakes, an abundance of wildlife including deer, badgers, foxes, owls, and many varieties of waterfowl including great crested grebes, ducks and swans.
A Bit of History
The park was used as an RAF Base during the second world war, and you can still spot some old war buildings/foundations around the park and surrounding areas as well as old runways by the beautiful St.Peter’s Church, one of the oldest round-tower churches in Norfolk. The Original “Haveringland Hall” was a grand 40 bedroom house built in 1840 in Bath Stone by Edward Fellowes, and was taken over by the RAF in 1942 and used as the officers mess. Winston Churchill even visited Haveringland Hall on many occasions as his Aunt Lady Rosamond Spencer-Churchill lived at the Hall.
Sadly, the Hall was demolished after the war, with the ice-house still remaining in the Arboretum, where you can also view several rare specimen trees such as the Cork Oak and the Cedar of Lebanon.
Haveringland Hall grounds has been used as a caravan park since 1953.
